Fontina Terms of Use
Effective October 26, 2026.
These terms are between you and Kineema Labs ("we"), who make Fontina. By using Fontina you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we keep and why.
Using Fontina
Fontina helps you keep recipes, a pantry and a shopping list, and see sales at your stores. You can use it on your own, or sign in to share your kitchen with your household.
You need to be at least 13 to use Fontina, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms.
Your account
Keep access to your email or Apple ID safe; whoever has it can sign in as you. You can delete your account at any time in Household → Delete account.
Your household
A household is shared: everyone in it can see, add to, change and delete its recipes, pantry, list and sales. Invite only people you trust with that. If you leave or delete your account, the household stays with the people still in it.
Your content
Your recipes, photos and notes are yours. You give us permission to store, copy and show them only as needed to run Fontina for you and your household (for example, to sync them to your other devices). That permission ends when you delete them or your account, apart from backups that age out.
When you bring in recipes from websites, cookbooks or other apps, do it for your own cooking. Don't use Fontina to republish other people's work.
Agents
If you connect an AI agent, it acts for you: what it adds or changes in your household is as if you did it. Keep its key private. The agent's own service is governed by its own terms.
Sales and suggestions
Sales come from what you, your household, your forwarded ads or your agents bring in, and they can be wrong, late or expired. Check prices at the store. What-to-cook suggestions and ingredient matches are a convenience; check ingredients for allergies and food safety yourself.
Fair use
Don't misuse Fontina: no breaking the law with it, no trying to get into someone else's household or account, no attacking or overloading the service, and no reverse engineering it beyond what the law allows. We may suspend accounts that do.
The service
We work to keep Fontina running and your kitchen safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We may change features, and if we ever stop running the server we'll give you notice; the copy on your phone stays yours.
Fontina is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you paid nothing). Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
App Store
If you got Fontina from Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Fontina or its support, and has no obligation to provide maintenance. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use also follows the App Store's usage rules.
Changes
If these terms change, we'll update this page and its date, and tell you in the app when the change matters. Using Fontina after that means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
